The Mental Health Empowerment Programme is designed to provide professional counselling support to members of New Wine Church who have experienced acute trauma due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. This may be due to one or more of the following reasons:

• Bereavement.
• Effects of working on the frontlines e.g. as a nurse or doctor.
• Effects of long-term personal shielding or quarantine on mental health.
• Other reasons

The programme will be run on behalf of New Wine Church by two highly qualified professional Christian Counsellors.

The programme will be open to a maximum of 20 persons divided into two cohorts of 10 people each. Please, note that the programme will be delivered as group sessions.

Each cohort will have one session per week for 4 weeks. Each session will last for a maximum of 90 minutes and take place on a Saturday.

The sessions will run as follows:
Cohort 1: 10.00AM – 11.30AM
Cohort 2: 12.00PM – 1.30PM

The programme will commence on Saturday, 12th September and run weekly for four Saturdays until Saturday, 3rd October.

Who is eligible to apply?
All New Wine members are eligible to register to participate.

Prospective participants will undertake a screening process which will take place between Monday, 24th August and Thursday, 10th September.

Deadline for the expression of interest is Tuesday, 8th September, 2020.
