The leadership of New Wine Church once again proclaims our unceasing and profound gratitude to The Lord, our God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ for the unceasing demonstration of love and protection to all our Church family. We also convey our heartfelt love and commendation to all the members of the Church for your continued exceptional resilience and commitment to The Lord throughout this season of unprecedented global challenge.

You have continued to remain steadfast in faith and prayer, participated in the range of online services to strengthen your walk with God, patiently navigated the reopening of live physical services in Gateway House and branch premises around the world, and continue to contribute effectively in various ways to supporting our local communities throughout this period.

We salute you for truly being ambassadors of Jesus Christ, radiantly shining His light of love, peace and hope to a hurting world in your different arenas of life.

The UK government’s Covid-19 lockdown strategy continues to evolve and the New Wine Church leadership maintains a close watch on developments, to ensure that we continue to satisfy our Spirit-led responsibilities to our Church family and the wider community.

The government guidelines with effect from Monday, 14th September with respect to places of worship requires that if you are attending the physical congregational service with others:

the group you are coming with should not exceed more than six people. This group of six can be made up of people from outside your household, but strict social distancing must be maintained between members of different households at all times.

We would like to assure all our members, visitors and stakeholders that since the resumption of our live, in-premises worship services, New Wine has steadfastly maintained robust health and safety measures focused on safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all attendees at the services, and will continue to do so:

Our current procedures include the following

  1. Pre – Registration:

All attendees are required to pre-register to attend each Service. This is to ensure that we are fully prepared for the maximum number of the people that the building can accommodate based on the social distancing guidelines. All registrants go through validation before being allowed to attend the service and seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis of registrant’s arrival at the premises.

Please do NOT come to the Church premises if you have not pre-registered, as regrettably you will not be allowed into the building. Instead, please enjoy the online service from your home. We aim to make the services as enriching and enjoyable for those participating online as for those on the premises.

  1. At Risk Persons:

If you are classified as an at-risk person due to your age (70 years and above) or with underlying health conditions, we would like to encourage you to stay at home and continue to enjoy the worship services from the comfort of your home.

  1. Children’s Church:

The Children’s Church services have remained online and will remain so until we finalise the arrangements for their resumption, the date of which will be communicated in due course. However, your young children / wards can come with their parents / guardians to attend the main adult Church services and will need to be registered to attend along with their parents / guardians before coming.

  1. Face Masks:

Following the government guidelines, all persons above the age of eleven (11) are required to wear face masks when you attend the service unless you have a medical exemption. Please note that we will require proof of your exemption before you are allowed into the building otherwise, please bring your face mask with you when coming for the service.

  1. Social Distancing:

All attendees are required to maintain the required minimum distance (presently 1M+ to 2M) between yourself and those who are not of the same household when you are in the premises. Floor markings have been provided where appropriate in support of this.

  1. Temperature Check:

Your temperature will be checked using a non-invasive, long-range thermometer. If your temperature is above the normal range (36.5 – 37.5 °C or 97.7 – 99.5 °F), you will not be granted entry and be asked to return home.

Also, if you have symptoms of Covid-19, please do not come to the premises. Instead, contact your doctor and follow the requisite medical advice you are given.

  1. Hand Sanitisers:

Upon entry into the building, you will be required to use hand sanitiser at the entrance. There are also several hand sanitiser locations around the building for your use.

  1. Cleaning and Disinfection:

All main touch points in the building are regularly cleaned with approved cleaning agents. The premises are also properly fumigated before and after services.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment:

The workers who will be serving you all use appropriate personal protective equipment such as hand gloves, face masks / face shields.

If you come to the premises with your hand gloves on, you will be required to dispose of it, disinfect your hands with hand sanitiser and if you require it, wear new hand gloves we provide.

  1. Restricted Use of Lifts:

The use of the lifts are restricted to only persons with mobility issues and the lifts are regularly cleaned.

  1. Off-Site Meetings:

In line with our commitment to ensure proper social distancing, we ask that any meetings with friends and family should be held in other nearby locations. This is to ensure we avoid clustering in front of the building in a way that might breach the social distancing requirements. Also remember that any such gatherings in those other locations must not exceed a maximum of 6 persons.

  1. Cooperation with Instructions:

We ask that you please follow the precise instructions of the teams serving you (e.g. Ushers, IGS, Facilities Teams etc.) for seating in the auditoriums, using the facilities and for leaving the premises, to ensure that we all adhere to the social distancing requirements and other measures for protecting your health and wellbeing.

As the government’s position continues to change, we will endeavour to reflect the guidance received in our plans where appropriate.

Above all, we continue to glorify God for preserving you and your loved ones throughout this season. Ultimately, our unwavering faith is anchored in the only true and living God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has promised us according to His Word:

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

~ Psalm 121: 7 – 8

The Lord continually make His face shine upon you and fill you with His peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
