The next event of the New Wine School of Politics will be held on Saturday, 11 September 2021 from 2-5 pm, online and in-person. The focus of the event will be climate change and the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, otherwise known as COP26.

Climate change is a matter of stewardship. The Bible says in Psalm 115:16 that 'the heavens belong to God, but the earth He has given to the children of men'. We believe that God wants us to look after the earth that He has given to us.

Why should you be interested in this event? Because climate efficiency is both a Christian and legal obligation. The Climate Change Act commits the UK government by law to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 100% of 1990 levels (net zero) by 2050. You therefore need to know what is expected of you as an individual and a business owner.

Our experts will discuss the science and politics of climate change. They will tell you what the UK Government is doing to tackle global warming, and how you can get involved. You will also have a chance to contribute to the discussion.

It will be an exciting event! Don’t miss it!
