Sounds of New Wine is the Music ministry of New Wine Church, London, England. The team comprises 135 gifted and anointed singers, musicians, engineers and stage managers, who are all committed to embracing an ever closer walk with God in their own lives and are passionate about music and its intrinsic power to uplift, encourage, inspire and bring people into greater levels of worship and intimacy with God.

As a ministry that has been growing over 25 years since the founding of their home Church, the New Wine Choir has shared the stage with some of the greatest names in gospel music in the United Kingdom and globally. These include Israel Houghton, Nathaniel Bassey, Martha Munizzi, Mary Mary, Muyiwa Riversongz, Ron Kenoly, Micah Stampley and Mark Beswick among others.

Sounds of New Wine is led by its Creative Director, Lawrence Johnson, co-founder of the famous London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) and founder of 90’s mainstream chart-topping groups such as Nu-Colours and Truce. Lawrence has worked closely with global music icons such as Stevie Wonder, Sir Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Tori Kelly and with Simon Cowell as the vocal arranger on X-Factor and still does vocal arrangements for music stars such as Sam Smith.

Sounds of New Wine delivers a beautiful fusion of melodies that combine contemporary hip-hop, afro beats, reggae and soulful music that share resonant messages of hope, inspiration, joy and God’s unfailing love with the listener. Our ardent desire is simply that those who hear our music will experience a fresh, delightful presence of God in each song and be enriched in their spirit and souls to propel them into the fullness of God’s loving purpose for their lives.
