Seeing the importance of women and particularly mothers demonstrated in the scriptures, mothers should never stop praying for their children and prophesying over them. Mothers carry prophetic unction in the lives of their children and your words carry power. Always remember that a woman and mother is a glory carrier!

In the Bible, we see women play very significant roles in the agenda of God. These include giving birth to, and raising children of destiny (Samson’s mother), providing strategic information to kings (Hulda, a Prophetess during the reign of King Josiah) and helping to preserve the lives of God’s servants (Zipporah, the wife of Moses). Each time we celebrate Mothers’ Day, it is a reminder to us that women are carriers of God’s glory, have an inheritance in the kingdom of God and carry a militancy of Grace.

Paul the Apostle tells us that he did not “preach with enticing words of men’s wisdom but in the power of the Spirit.” He also emphasised that our faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (See 1 Corinthians 2: 4 – 5). It is crucial for us to remember the importance of listening and staying focussed in order to hear when God speaks. Whenever we attend Church or listen to a Minister of the gospel, we must have one goal in mind, which is “to hear a word from the Lord.”
