“… But the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2: 4b (NKJV)

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60: 1-2 (NKJV)

God has poured out His lavish grace on us through Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection, and nothing that we go through in life should make us set aside or despise the grace of God (Galatians 2:21). We access this grace through faith in Jesus, and this is why God desires for sinners to be transformed into saints (sons of God), and for saints to be continually transformed so that we reflect God’s glory.

In this series, we have seen that it is through faith that we enjoy the gift, the works and the goal of grace, and it is through faith that we please God and live for Him. Indeed, the life of faith does not focus on life’s challenges, but looks onto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Such faith motivates us to present our bodies to the Lord, as He transforms our souls and stirs up our spirits (Romans 12: 1-2).

Faith is the channel through which we experience God and live for Him in a world that is filled with sorrow, anxiety and tyranny. While people panic and trade conspiracy theories, if we just focus on living by faith unto God, we will be fine. For Jesus came to give us abundant life (John 10:10b), and we can experience it through faith in Him. As God’s children who live and operate in a fallen world, we can be confident because of Jesus’ redeeming power that causes us to experience His life and light which make us shine (Isaiah 60: 1-2)!
