My Heart Will Trust in You

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. Psalm 34: 5 (NIV)

It is important to remind ourselves who we are in God and how God feels about us. Ephesians 1 and 2 tell us that God adopted us and is interested in every detail of our lives. Biological children are given, but adopted children are chosen; God chose us, loves us and lavishes us with EVERY spiritual blessing. God created neighbourhoods of galaxies that scientists have not yet discovered, but He is interested in the most minute details of our lives. If your little finger hurts, God is concerned about it!

When life gets challenging it is possible to feel overwhelmed, but Scripture reminds us that in Christ, we have hope and we can expect victory. He comforts us during our disappointments (Psalm 23: 4), and He validates us. Our walk with Christ is not an occasional visit. Instead, Scripture shows us that God is in our “now” (Deut 6: 6-9). He is in the small things in our daily routine. Therefore, when we keep our focus on Him, our challenges pale into insignificance, and our hearts and faces are radiant. We can trust God’s heart because His concern for us is deep and detailed, and He works things out for our good.
