Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?   Isaiah 53:1 (NKJV)

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God   1 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)

Our foundation Scripture makes it clear that God has a report and a perspective. The question is whether in the midst of a crisis, we will choose to believe God’s report, which is contained in His Word. Our Scripture reading shows that God’s report unveils the “Arm of the Lord”, and this represents God’s presence, power, provision, wisdom, protection and judgment. God’s Arm also teaches us, and draws us with chords of love (Hosea 11:3-4).

Some may ask, “How is the Arm of the Lord revealed?” Our second Scripture reading shows that each individual knows their own identities, realities and needs more intimately than the people and systems they are close to. Similarly, only the Holy Spirit knows the things of God, and He alone can reveal them to God’s children. Therefore, we receive the revelation of the “Arm of the Lord” by depending on the Holy Spirit.

Living in a pandemic, the lockdown has created various challenges for people that have taken a toll on mental and emotional well-being. However, God does not want us to entertain anxiety (Philippians 4:6). In such situations of pressure, anxious thoughts can rob us of the awareness of God’s promises, but we must develop the habit of rebuking them. When one is facing pressure and feeling overwhelmed, one may erroneously look to other sources for truth and answers, instead of looking to the “Arm of the Lord” (Psalm 20:7). Prayerfully declare this: “By faith, I will believe God’s report, and enjoy the manifestations of the “Arm of the Lord” in my life!”
